Hai Duong Vocational College, formerly known as Hai Duong Technical Workers School, was established under Decision No. 2018/QD-UB dated June 20, 2000, in order to meet the urgent need for qualified labor force. training in knowledge, skills and skills, serving the development of the industrial economy in the process of industrialization and modernization of the province.

On February 15, 2007, the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs signed Decision No. 260/QD-BLDTBXH to establish Hai Duong Vocational College on the basis of upgrading Hai Duong Technical Worker School.

Functions and duties:
